Carylee Carrington is an award-winning author, entrepreneur, literacy advocate and Founder of Read With Carylee, Inc. Living in Northern Virginia with her 2 sons, Carylee has a desire to inspire. Originally from the island of Jamaica, she grew up in New York City, before making Northern Virginia her home. Referred to as the “accidental author,” children’s books was not where she thought her path would lead.
She has now turned this accident into purpose. Advocating for diversity in children’s literature is just one part of Read With Carylee. Carylee hopes to use her platform to encourage other authors to tell their stories.
