As chief executive officer of the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), Angela Bole works to support the growing independent publishing community through advocacy, education, and tools for success. She holds a Master of Science degree in Book Publishing from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Gender Studies from Indiana University Bloomington. In 2019, she was named a Publishers Weekly notable person of the year. In 2018, she was awarded the Book Industry Study Group’s Community Builder Award, given to an individual in recognition of significant work done to engage a representative set of book industry stakeholders.
