E.A. Smiroldo

E.A. Smiroldo is a novelist, musician, and nuclear engineer. Her debut novel The Silent Count captured first place in the political thriller categories of The BookFest and Firebird Awards, and was shortlisted for a Chanticleer award for Global Thrillers. The novel draws on E.A.’s background in nuclear engineering and imagines plausible scientific solutions for tackling climate change — as well as unforeseen consequences if the technology fell into the wrong hands. E.A. is also a Washington Area Music Association Award-nominated singer-songwriter and has won prizes in writing competitions sponsored by the Bethesda Literary Festival and the International Screenwriters’ Dig. After placing in the latter, she optioned the treatment for her screenplay with X-ray Media.
