Jack Grapes is the author of 15 books of poetry, including The Naked Eye: New and Selected Poems, 1987-2012, and Poems So Far So Far So Good So Far To Go. David Ulin, Los Angeles Times book review editor, characterized his poetry as “operating somewhere in the middle ground between pop culture and philosophy.” Jack co-wrote and starred in Circle of Will, a metaphysical comedy about the lost years of William Shakespeare. He is currently working on four new books:, a book of literary criticism on the history of modern poetries, Etherized Upon a Table; a series of critical and personal essays, The Tendor Agonies of Charles Bukowski; and a non-fiction work, How to Read Like a Writer. Jack lives in Los Angeles with his wife Lori.
