Who Got the Keys?

Did you know homeownership is a key to building wealth? Yet, the rate of black homeowners and wealth is the lowest amongst all races in the US. Who Got the Keys? was written to expose and educate black teens on the fundamentals of the real estate industry to increase the rate of black homeownership and wealth. The goal in sharing this knowledge is that today’s teens will become tomorrow’s homeowners and investors. Additionally, teens are introduced to the various career professions and roles available to them within the real estate industry. This book provides youth with the keys to unlock: • the importance and history of black homeownership; • how to buy up the block through real estate investing; and • how to make multiple streams of income within the real estate industry. As teens complete this book, they will begin to develop an ownership mindset. This shift in mentality can both empower and prepare them to build and maintain wealth through real estate generationally
