Universe, I Trust You

Roby is a 38 years old Italian living in London, a city she loves and where she has created a life she is happy with. Yet in November 2018, she finds herself emotionally drained. Single for years, not only does she score one dating disaster after another, but also struggles with her desire to become a mother, and the doctors don’t have good news for her. She has discovered that her best friend has been keeping a painful secret from her, which is putting their relationship to the test, and workwise she feels called to do something else, yet is unable to pin point what. When everything just becomes too much to handle, she decides to go backpacking alone for three months, in Asia, without planning anything. If all her pain comes from unmet expectation, how can life be like when you don’t have any plans? Sri Lanka, India and Nepal, a month in each country, just her and her backpack, without any attachment. “Universe, I trust You” becomes her mantra, but…is the Universe to be trusted?
