Our Church Mothers

Based on accurate Christian history, seven women leaders share in a personal letter their spiritual journey that significantly changed the Church of their day. This book contains seven first-person letters from formidable historical women who crafted for themselves roles of strategic importance in the history of the Judeo-Christian faith. These women are Judge Deborah, St. Clare of Assisi, Mother Teresa, Mary, the Mother of Jesus, Katherine Luther, Susanna Wesley and Catherine Booth. Each of these women was recognized as an exceptional “mother” figure and as a spiritual leader in her generation. Living in different countries, centuries and cultures, they chose to address human needs with persevering faith and action.
