Description
Hiking mountains is like eating vanilla ice cream with ribbons of peanut butter and pieces of chocolate mixed in. Hiking mountains with fire towers is like devouring the same ice cream with hot fudge, whipped cream and a cherry on top. Over one hundred years ago, fire towers were built on the tops of mountains so that fire wardens could watch over the forests to prevent forest fires.
Alex, Jeremy and Jeremy’s mother plan to hike to the summit of Mount Hadley. They hope to summit Hadley and climb up to the tower to see the forest below. Are they prepared? What if they get lost? Are there animals that might hurt them or hikers that need their help? Follow their journey to see if they have successful firetower hike. Will it be an amazing sundae or a sundae that hits the sidewalk?
Just like ice cream flavors, there is more than one hike to try…
