This poetry collection strives to draw parallel the inexorable rhythm of the natural world we live in and the treasures to be found if only we look around us and live in the moment, in this world full of awe. Will we remember that bright leaf that fell from the trees? Will I forget the features of my father’s face? What of the fleeting rivers that flow over us, between us, through us, the birds that appear each time we think of a lost loved one? The human experience and the processes of nature and seasons are mirror images of the same journey–one which we must embrace for its tragic beauty and inevitable moment of departure.
