Heather and Al Perkins are searching for something more out of life. Dead-end jobs. An empty nursery. Disappointment has stolen their joy. And they want it back. Ambition and determination seem to be the only things they have left to offer. They jump at the chance to help a mission in Bucharest in need of added hands. After selling everything, they buy a one-way plane ride to Romania. Romania offers new relationships, new surroundings, and a new perspective. But it doesn’t take long for old hurts to surface. When hope appears in the form of a needy young boy, Heather’s mothering instincts take over. Disappointment rears its ugly head. Will Heather and Al finally have a child of their own? Or will childlessness haunt them forever?
