In 2010, Doug was named \u201cBest Columnist\u201d by the <i>California Newspaper Publishers Association<\/i>. Additionally, he has written for the <i>Los Angeles Times<\/i>, <i>The<\/i> <i>Daily Beast<\/i>, <i>American History Illustrated,\u00a0LA Jazz Scene, The Bridgeport Post<\/i> among many other publications. Doug has just completed his first novel, <i>Frank\u2019s Shadow<\/i>. <\/span><\/p><\/div><div><p><span lang=\"EN-US\">In addition to his work in print, McIntyre has been active for over 30-years as a television\/screenwriter and producer including work on the hit series <i>Married\u2026With Children,\u00a0WKRP in Cincinnati,\u00a0Mike Hammer \u2013\u00a0Private Eye<\/i>, and the critically acclaimed PBS series,\u00a0<i>Liberty\u2019s Kids<\/i>, which earned a Humanitas Prize nomination for excellence in television writing. Together with wife, actress Penny Peyser, Doug wrote, produced, and directed the award-winning feature documentary:\u00a0<i>Trying to Get Good: the Jazz Odyssey of Jack Sheldon<\/i> and was Executive Producer for <i>Stillpoint, <\/i>also a feature documentary directed by Peyser<i>.<\/i><\/span><\/p><\/div><div><p><span lang=\"EN-US\">For 25-years Doug McIntyre was heard on the legendary Talk Radio station, <i>KABC<\/i> in Los Angeles as host of the Golden Mic Award Winning <i>McIntyre in the Morning<\/i> and before that Doug created <i>Red Eye Radio<\/i> as a local overnight show in Southern California before taking it national on 300 stations from coast to coast. In 2015, he added a one-hour weekday show,\u00a0<i>Right Now with Doug McIntyre<\/i> for <i>WABC<\/i> in New York City. <\/span><\/p><\/div><div><p><span lang=\"EN-US\">Doug appeared on Bill Maher\u2019s <i>Politically Incorrect<\/i> over a dozen times, as well as\u00a0<i>Real Time<\/i> on HBO, <i>The History Channel<\/i>, <i>The O\u2019Reilly Factor,\u00a0Hannity<\/i>, <i>Lou Dobbs<\/i> and countless other CNN news\/issues programs.
