Wade Hudson is an award-winning author and president of Just Us Books, Inc., an independent publisher of books for young people. Among his 30 published books for children and young adults are Afro-Bets Kids: I’m Going To BeBook of Black Heroes A to Z, and the middle grade anthologies, We Rise, We Resist, We Raise Our Voices and The Talk: Conversations About Race, Love & Truth, co-edited with his wife Cheryl, published by Crown Books. His latest work is Journey, a poetry collection published by Third World Press. Wade’s many awards include the New Jersey Stephen Crane Literary Award, The Ida B. Wells Institutional Leadership Award, and 2019 Children’s Book Council Diversity Award.
