Danika Ellis is an Associate Editor at Book Riot, the largest editorially independent book site in North America, where she and Editor Kelly Jensen cover news about censorship and book challenges. Her articles about censorship have been mentioned in Rolling Stone, the Houston Chronicle, and other publications. Danika also writes a weekly Book Riot newsletter about LGBTQ books called Our Queerest Shelves. She has been writing for Book Riot since 2015.
She is also the creator of the Lesbrary, a bi and lesbian book blog that was added to the Library of Congress’s LGBTQ+ Studies Web Archive to be preserved as an important LGBTQ+ historical record. Danika manages a team of over a dozen reviewers, covering sapphic books of every genre. The Lesbrary started in 2010.
Danika lives in British Columbia, Canada with two ridiculous mystery mix dogs.
