Becky Parker Geist is the CEO and founder of Pro Audio Voices Inc., serving an international clientele and with team members around the globe. Pro Audio Voices works with authors and small publishers who want to reach their widest audience. Through audiobook production and marketing, including complex and unusual projects that may involve multiple voices and/or music and/or sound effects, Becky and her team help authors have a greater impact in the world—inspiring the world through the stories they bring to life. She believes that very time a great story comes alive, doors open – in the heart, in the mind, in the spirit. With each great story brought to life and each door that opens, positive change becomes possible, and the world changes – one story at a time.
After receiving her M.F.A. in Acting in 1981, Becky began narrating Talking Books for the Blind through the Library of Congress, narrating over 70 titles in two years. She quickly became one of their most popular narrators. As a professional stage actress, she has toured internationally, as well as on the east and west U.S. coasts. Becky brings her broad range of theatre skills – acting, directing, producing, marketing – to bear in all her production work. She performs under the name Becky Parker.
Committed to leadership and building strong, long-term relationships, Becky serves as President of BAIPA (Bay Area Independent Publishers Association) and is a member of IBPA (Independent Book Publishers Assn) and APA (Audio Publishers Assn). She presents frequently on the subject of audiobook production and marketing, and is author of Audiobook Toolkit for Authors: Your Comprehensive Guide to Recording Your Own Audiobook, as well as the novel The Left Turn: Two Lives Worlds Apart, plus two other nonfiction and two children’s books.
