Brad Dukes is a freelance writer, author, and real estate agent based in Nashville, Tennessee. His first book, the internationally published Reflections: An Oral History of Twin Peaks (2014) explores the dramatic rise and equally dramatic fall of the original TV series that turned America on its head in the spring of 1990. Interview participants Kyle MacLachlan, Michael Ontkean, Sheryl Lee, and Ray Wise along with dozens of others provide first-hand accounts of the rollercoaster experience.
Dukes followed up with China Beach: A Book About a TV Show About a War (2018), documenting the four seasons of the Emmy-winning series starring Dana Delany and Marg Helgenberger that captured the female perspective of the Vietnam War. Dukes leaves no stone unturned in this tome, interviewing cast and crew, along with veterans from the war, along with travels to Vietnam and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. Dukes is busy these days spending time with his wife and their young daughter, and is currently at work on his forthcoming third book.
