Struggling to keep her computer security business afloat, Jo Williams jumps at the chance to pitch for a project at Janus Industries, the hottest tech company on the planet and run by Janus Phillips, a tech billionaire with a revolving door of model girlfriends. Janus Industries is under attack from hackers, but it isn’t just Jo’s amazing ideas to defend his company that attracts Janus’s interest. Horrified by his playboy reputation, Jo holds Janus at arm’s length. When they race to Hong Kong to confront the hacker, Jo realizes that Janus’s image is all a front for the media. The hackers slip through their fingers, but Janus and Jo use the opportunity to get to know each other intimately. Returning to a media storm, Jo decides that a relationship with Janus is a big mistake. He is furious and, stung, he publicly puts it all on the line for Jo. As the hackers move in and attack the company’s backup systems, Jo races to develop a virus that can infiltrate the hacker’s network.
