The Kid Chronicles

The Kid Chronicles centers on two social workers who lead a support group for young boys who have committed a violent offense at school. The participants accompanied by their mothers have been ordered by the court to participate in the seven-session program intended to teach the boys to solve conflicts without violence. Mrs. Campbell, the facilitator of the boys’ group, uses gritty, entertaining stories to help the ten boys make emotional connections to their behavior. Through the short stories, the boys begin to see conflict and life can be handled and managed without violence. Mrs. Miller, the facilitator of the mothers’ group, leads the mothers through meditative activities to help support the mother in rebuilding and reestablishing an unbreakable mother-son bond.
