Shadow’s Voice

Rose Trewin is on the run, trying to escape her past as a spy and enforcer for her father. She settles in a town where she believes she is free of his control until a stranger appears and sends her on the run once more. After a fateful encounter on the road she is forced to carry a message to the king to warn him of forces plotting to end his life and take his kingdom. This simple act of carrying the message throws her into a spiral of courtly intrigue, political machinations, and returning to her role as a spy, only with much greater risk this time around. As she settles into her new life her magic starts to shift and change. When ghostly wolves made of shadows start appearing, she begins to unravel the devastating truth of her magic. At the same time dark forces fueled by the similar magic to hers work to assassinate the king and take the throne for themselves leaving Rose to question her loyalties, her magic, and the power she wields.
