1880. Miners strike gold in the hills of Colorado. A bustling town soon grows around the mine. A rash of stagecoach robberies has suspicion pointed towards the Ute Native Americans, thanks in part to Sheriff Johnson Z. Howard deceiving the towns people. One-legged Irish immigrant Seamus, a believer in the Utes benevolent way of life, stands his ground and defends the tribe. Tensions boil over, and as the towns people start to point the finger at Seamus, the clue to uncovering the truth is found at the feet of Peter Teet, the shortest man in human history.
