Gypsy woman is a hunting, yet hopeful coming of age story of Maximus Talisman and his crew growing up in Brooklyn New York. We begin with them as teenage boys, drinking beer and singing the misogynistic song, that is the title of the book. We go on to learn about each member of the crew and their life experiences, which led to ongoing struggles with women. We journey with Maximus as he decides to go from being prey to predator while struggling to maintain some semblance of a moral compass. Maximus seeks purpose and a way to make sense of the tragedies that have befallen him in a way that has it in as an adult, he can help children sidestep his misfortune. In this, he finds his verse in the poem of life.
