As Written By Cher Terais is a boutique publishing company founded by acclaimed author Cher Terais. Specializing in Wanderlust Romance—a genre Cher coined—this company delivers evocative love stories set in some of the world’s most exotic locations. Our novels center on perfectly imperfect Black women and the men who chase them across the globe, offering readers a unique fusion of romance, adventure, and cultural immersion.
Since our inception in 2018, As Written By Cher Terais has handled every aspect of the publishing process, from conceptualization to distribution. This includes brainstorming, research, travel, writing, editing, formatting, and post-publication marketing. Each novel is personally crafted by Cher, who travels to every location featured in her stories, ensuring authenticity in every detail.
Our debut novel, “Bali Blue,” published in January 2021, captivated readers with its lush depiction of Bali’s landscapes, climbing to #1 on Amazon’s Bestseller list in 2023. Our second novel, “Mess on the Mara,” released in May 2023, brought readers into the heart of the Atlanta food scene and Kenya’s Masai Mara, earning similar success. With our third novel set for release on November 14th, 2024, we continue to expand our portfolio, taking readers to destinations like Tulum, Mexico.
Beyond storytelling, As Written By Cher Terais is a full-service entity that oversees the publication journey from start to finish. We work closely with platforms like Amazon KDP and IngramSpark for seamless distribution and ensure our novels reach a global audience. In the near future, our marketing, social media, and promotional efforts will be further outsourced to elevate our brand’s reach.
Founded by Cher Terais, a world traveler and seasoned writer, our company thrives on blending romance with cultural exploration. Cher’s diverse experiences, from her military service to her work across the Middle East, breathe life into each narrative, making every novel an immersive, unforgettable journey.
